Amanda Edwards, LPCC

My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate based in Colorado with a passion for supporting children, teens, and families through life’s challenges. I earned my undergraduate degree in English before completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. Through my clinical training and internship experiences, I discovered how meaningful it is to help young people feel understood, empowered, and confident as they navigate growth and change.

I specialize in working with children and teens experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Emotional Regulation difficulties, ADHD, Self-Esteem concerns, Family Stress, Life Transitions, and Behavioral Challenges. I also enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent adolescents, and I am committed to creating an affirming environment where clients feel accepted and free to be themselves. My professional experience includes providing counseling services in group mental health settings, where I have worked collaboratively with children and caregivers to support emotional and social development. I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where clients can express themselves openly while building resilience and confidence.

I believe therapy should be individualized, developmentally responsive, and collaborative. I take an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique strengths and needs while drawing from Play-Based Interventions, Trauma-Informed CBT, and Person-Centered Therapy. I strongly believe children deserve autonomy, respect, and a voice in their therapeutic journey. My goal is to provide a compassionate and inclusive space where clients and families feel supported, encouraged, and empowered throughout the process.
