Claire Guion, LPCC
I'm a pre-licensed counselor working under the supervision of Courtney Swanson, PsyD. I came to this work because I've always been drawn to the moments when someone starts to understand why they do what they do, especially in their closest relationships. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University, and before joining Denver Wellness Associates I worked in community mental health and as a recovery coach supporting clients through eating disorder treatment. That work shaped how I think about the connection between our bodies, our sense of safety, and the people we're closest to. Outside of session, you'll usually find me outdoors, practicing yoga, or trying to find the best food spot in Denver.
I work with young adults and adults, focusing on attachment and depression, anxiety and OCD-spectrum concerns, and body image. While I maintain a client-centered approach, I tend to draw from CBT and ACT, and hold both structure and flexibility in session. There may be weeks that call for concrete tools, and others may call for a space to sit with something hard. My hope is that our work together feels less like something you have to get right and more like a place where you can show up authentically and proudly.
