Michelle Weil, Psychiatrist


Dr. Michelle Weil is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with specialized expertise in addiction psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in addiction psychiatry at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

With extensive experience across a wide range of clinical settings, Dr. Weil has provided psychiatric care in inpatient hospitals, emergency departments, detoxification and residential addiction treatment programs, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics, including private practice. She also serves as Medical Director of the Meadows Behavioral Health Outpatient Center Denver, where she oversees partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, enabling continuity of care for patients who require a higher level of treatment.

Dr. Weil works with adults experiencing substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, sleep disorders, and challenges related to neurodivergence, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She is committed to conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

In addition to medication management, Dr. Weil has advanced training in multiple psychotherapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational enhancement therapy. She integrates these modalities into her clinical practice to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Dr. Weil also has particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions affecting healthcare professionals and collaborates closely with the Colorado Physician Health Program to support physicians and other medical providers.
