Taylor Berry, PMHNP-BC

Taylor Berry is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who primarily works with adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and insomnia. She believes effective mental health care begins with understanding the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or list of symptoms—and creating a space where patients feel genuinely heard, understood, and involved in their care.

Taylor earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia, specializing in psychiatric mental health, with a minor in nursing education. Her clinical training included working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of psychiatric settings, giving her experience with both common and complex mental health concerns.

Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Taylor worked in nursing roles spanning acute care, hospice, and community-based primary care. These experiences shaped her understanding of the connection between physical and mental health and continue to inform her whole-person approach to psychiatric care. She is also board certified in holistic nursing, reflecting her longstanding interest in considering the many factors that can influence mental well-being.

Taylor takes a collaborative and individualized approach to treatment, combining evidence-based psychiatric care with an understanding of each patient’s goals, lifestyle, relationships, physical health, and lived experiences. She values shared decision-making and believes patients should understand their options and have an active voice in their treatment. Her approach incorporates thoughtful medication management, education, supportive therapeutic interventions, and lifestyle considerations when appropriate.

Above all, Taylor strives to create a warm, approachable, and judgment-free environment where patients can be honest about what they are experiencing and feel comfortable asking questions. Her goal is to build meaningful therapeutic relationships and help patients find treatment that not only addresses symptoms, but supports a greater sense of well-being and quality of life.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys cooking, traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, exploring Colorado, and spending time with the people she loves—including Tucker, her very spoiled Yorkie-Poodle.
